Reactors

NTIPL in association with TDK offers a wide range of reactors with various application characteristics. These are easy to install, have a compact design and are low weight. All reactors comply with the standard IEC 60076-6 and are using a UL approved insulation system.

These reactors are used in conjunction with frequency converters at the output, as motor chokes or line reactors for active infeed converters or conventional converters. Line reactors are used in frequency converter applications to reduce system perturbations. They reduce the current increase during the frequency converter’s commutation phase and limit the short circuit current during the diode bridge switching. DV/DT reactors (Motor chokes) reduce the voltage stress at the motor and the DV/DT increase at the frequency converter output. These reactors are used in frequency converter applications, for example, elevators, pumps, conveyor systems or HVAC systems.
